Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

CAT WOMEN PICS BELOW

Jaclyn and Jason made it in safe and sound.  We enjoyed our Halloween Horror nights Wed. night.  We didn't get home until 1:00 AM and then turned around this morning and got up at 5 to go fishing out of Merritt Island.  We each caught a Amberjack, Snapper, Jason caught a Triple tail and Cobia, we all had a great time.

(Halloween Horror Night Pictures Below)

Happy Halloween to all! Hope everyone has as SAFE HALLOWEEN! :)  We are relaxing today since we have been going strong ever since they stepped off the plane.  So we will make fresh fish on the grill.  Wish I could share with all.

Corn Chip Kids Halloween Costume

He is making his dad proud and being a football player for HALLOWEEN :)

Jaclyn & Jason :)

Jaclyn and Jason fly in tomorrow at noon! I can't wait! We are headed to Halloween Horror Nights tomorrow night and should have a spooky time! We always have fun with the both of them. Jaclyn has been my best friend since high school, it's hard living so far away from each other but it makes it special when we get to hang out. Jason is a GREAT GREAT cook, I always let him take over my kitchen when their in town. He makes the best salad dressings in the world! I can't wait!

P.S. Were going fishing on Friday, please wish us luck! It's been high seas recently and Jason would just die if he didn't catch any fish.

I'm Home

I stepped out of the car, the wind blew the Cuban cigar smoke through my hair. I knew I was home. I rushed in to order my Cuban chicken with yellow rice and black beans. HOLA MAMA, the women yelled.., "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" I realized 2 weeks is a long time. They were all on their usual routine, she was cooking and her husband was out in his usual seat smoking his cigar. I love this place. I enjoy it so much. The chicken is soaked so long in the special secret red sauce it falls right off the bone. It's juicy and flavorful, it's just plain wonderful. I would die to have this recipe.

P.S. All the elves from mom's house have made it safe and sound to Florida. Thank you mom, I love them! :) OH and ALLIE I went to Hobby Lobby while I was with mom :) I enjoyed it so much!

Airportsg

I'm sitting in the airport in Memphis...I have took off and landed 9 times in 1 week, I have one more take of and landing in a few hours.  I hate airports, everyone is sneezing and I look like a nut running away from it and covering my mouth.  I always get sick a week after a plane ride. NOW they don't give you peanuts or snacks, they charged me $40 for my bag to be checked in, it wasn't even over weight.  Enough about the airports.

My visit with mom was great, she is getting along pretty well.  We shopped, ate, and cleaned and it went by in a flash.  I can't wait until she moves closer, I hate being so far away.  The only thing about mom's house is she is on dial up and every time I tried to log on it would block me from blogger.com, I had so many things to blog about and had to let them all go.

Mexico was wonderful and I have attached a few pictures below.  I have another busy week this week, I got Jaclyn and Jason coming in from Oklahoma to visit.  We have so many neat things planned I can't hardly wait!

My first STRIPED MARLIN! :) As you can see from the picture I was about to pass out, it took about 40 minutes to pull him in, don't worry, we released him and he swam away.

A Mahi Mahi I caught, we cooked it at the local marina, it was GREAT.  I was puking the whole time on this trip, it was horrible.
I got to ride a horse :)

We golfed on a beautiful course looking over the ocean

Sadie the Dolphin

I have one word, Amazing.  Her name was Sadie and she was the sweetest thing, I loved her so much.  Hope to see her again one day :)  Dolphins are amazing animals, I have always loved them, but to look into their eyes in person is something you have to do before you die.  The best thing I have ever done.

We Made It!

We arrived yesterday to beautiful turquoise waters, wonderful people, and the best quesdilla I have ever put in my mouth, and these prices are great!  Today we are going to head down to the Marina, there having one of the largest fishing tournaments there this weekend and Jim wants to go look at the boats.

This evening were going horse back riding on the ocean, it's something I have always wanted to do as a child and now is my chance!  I will take lots of pictures.

Mom, I glad your feeling better, you sound great and I'm glad your getting this over with.  See you soon!  Love to all my friends!

(Picture below are taken from our hotel room)  Isn't it just lovely. :)

Tequila!

I'm sitting at the airport as I type waiting on our flight.  We have been up since 4 EASTERN TIME, for all my central time zone friends, it was 3 and I was thinking how nice it was for all of you to be sleeping snug as a bug in your beds.  St. Thomas has a hurricane over it right now...I guess someone didn't want us to go and guided us to Mexico instead.  So now I will be getting margarita's and authentic Mexican cuisine.

My mom is still in the hospital and I can't wait to talk to her before I leave.  She was knocked out all day yesterday and I pray she gets to go home today.  Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.  I will be headed to help her in 6 days, I'm sure my company will get her well in know time.

Please wish me luck in the air today.

Mom is Recovering :)

My mother made it out of surgery today, she is now recovering and I can't wait to go up to see her. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I really do appreciate it. I was worried sick and now I can relax knowing she is in recovery and not on a surgery table.

Tomorrow morning Jim and I were suppose to leave to St. Thomas, well if you guys haven't watch the news, there is a category 2 hurricane headed straight at the island. I'm trying to think why I have been having this luck, but then I think, thank god my mom made it out safe and sound..so maybe I wasn't meant to be in St. Thomas this next weekend.

Part 2 of Around the World in One Day

Japan

Japan was great, I swear I could eat Japanese food every day of the week. We chose the spicy tuna roll, one of my favorites along with some Japanese Plum Wine. The wine reminded me of plum perfume it was so potent so I went back and tried me some Raspberry Saki...it was good but I would prefer the warm original Saki that you get at a hibachi. I wish I had some sushi right now!

(Our Sushi)

Morocco

Morocco was our favorite country. They even taught us how to belly dance. MAN, Brandi loved that. She was a dancing machine. he he. I also loved their shops, they have so many neat things. I ended up buying some pottery to hold your salt in. Brandi got a CD so she can belly dance at home. I chose pita bread stuffed with Moroccan meat, it was wonderful. It reminded me of my Lebanese food I love so much.

Us trying on belly dancing gear

(I was trying, Brandi was shaking that butt..She didn't need a teacher)

France

We didn't have any food while in France, we were stuffed and getting ready for England and Canada. We did drink something that resembled an orange Popsicle. The shops were so neat, we both got Eiffel Tower wine glasses, which look lovely holding red wine.

Around the World in One Day

PART ONE...This is HALF our trip around the world, the other half will be up soon.

Mexico

Mexico was lively and the smell of onions and cheese filled the air. Brandi and I got to look in the Mexican shops while they made pottery and painted wooden animals. We didn't experience any food or wine from Mexico, since we had drank margaritas the night before..but don't worry this was just the beginning of our journey around the world.

(Me looking at a Mexican sunshine)

(Brandi looking at the Tequila book in Mexico City)

Austria & Norway

We then stepped foot in Austria. We had a beef goulash, which I thought would have noodles, but the real way to have it is with stewed meat and cubed potatoes, I would have rated it a 5. The wine was woody, which probably isn't a word but it is now in my vocabulary. It wasn't my favorite..Sorry Austria.

We then road a Viking boat through Norwegian Sea's, it showed us the terrain and lifestyle of Norway. I would love to go!

China

China was wonderful! We had Chicken Sha Cha with a plum wine green tea cooler and Mango Grarita with Rum, they were both delicious and I ate up the chicken like a starved animal! They also had pot stickers and dragon fly wine but Brandi and I had some pot stickers earlier in the day so we passed. I do have to say, I need that Mango Grarita recipe, it was to die for!

(Our Chicken Sha Cha)

India

I fell in love with curry while sampling India, we had the shrimp in red curry sauce paired with Kingfisher premium lager. The shrimp were huge and tasty. Next was the Samosa with Tamarind Sauce, a Samosa is a pea and potato pastry, it was different, I had never had anything like it. I would order it again if I ever travel to India.

(Look at these wonderful shrimp!)

(Pastry with Mango Salsa)

Germany

Germany had the smell of freshly baked pretzels on the street, we had a pastry with some type of brown gravy on top. I didn't try any drinks, since I live right by the best German bakery in Florida. Anyways, we could see Italy from Germany and rushed to see what they had to offer, and MAN let me tell you, they offered EVERYTHING!

Italy

(Picture above is a gelato cart in Italy)

Right when we stepped foot into Italy Brandi rushed over to the gelato cart, and yes, it was wonderful. I stood in line and stared at all the Italians pouring their wonderful cocktails, I got a glass of Italian Sparkling wine and Brandi got their Raspberry champagne...it was amazing. If only I could find it here in the stores. We went through the shops and then went on to America, we went into a show, it was about the start of America, I looked over at Brandi and she was asleep, I was on the verge of falling a sleep..so we ran out, and guess where we went. We went back to Italy for that Raspberry champagne.
